It Is After All All About Me!

So I haven't been blogging much lately. Have you noticed? Maybe, maybe not. I haven't even talked about Spring Break or anything yet! I've been doing a lot of thinking about blogging, just not so much actual blogging. I'm always thinking about it, writing posts in my head and stuff, but lately I'm just either stumped or the post in my head doesn't come out right in real life. I thought a lot about why I haven't really been posting, and I decided that I lost sight of what blogging is all about. I started this blog almost a year ago, and since then it has changed a lot. In the beginning, no one really read my blog. Which was fine, because I wrote for me. Then, when I realized that if you are interesting, people will follow you and comment you... and that can be very addicting! So I think I lost sight a little bit of the purpose of this blog... it's still all about me! I LOVE comments & i LOVE my bloggy friends, and I'm not saying I'm trading that in. I'm just saying if I write a post that gets 30 comments... awesome! But if I write a personal post that maybe no one knows wtf I'm talking about & I get like 2 comments... that's okay too! I want to be able to lok back on this blog a year from now and remember what was going on in my life right now! So I am going to get back to posting because I'm not going to worry about whether or not this interests anyone... if I feel like writing about it, I will. End of story!

WTF/ WTD Wednesday!

1 of my favorite bloggers Supermommy started What's the Deal With That Wednesday, or as I like to call it WTF Wednesday (I'm not alone in this nickname I'm pretty sure lol). Basically, we just post about things that make you go "Wtf?" or "What's the deal with that!?" (really I just like Wtf because it's shorter...). And today just for playing along, you could be entered to win one of these super cute Easter bunnies! (This is *not* why I am playing along, I am not a moocher like that, but I figured some of you could use motivation, so I would inform you about it!) Anyway, today my WTF Wednesday topic is about sex. Yes, you heard me Sex. Now, don't go running away or anything. This is not about me & sex or anything like that (not that those 2 have anything to do with each other.. just saying don't jump to conclusions!) This is more of a public service announcement, if you will, because all women (and maybe men too) need to know this! According to this article, you know that thing that happens when you're getting it on & it feels really good? Ok, i'll just say it... orgasm? Well, apparently when you do that, you are more likely to get pregnant! Yes, that's right. It increases fertility, and gives couples the greatest chance of getting pregnant! Now maybe it's just me... but I couldn't help thinking WTF when I read that. So if it feels good... really good then that's bad (unless you're trying to have a baby then I guess that's good!). So we're supposed to skip the best part (so I've heard...) or we have a better chance of getting pregnant? hmm... great. Remind me to go take my birth control pills now... KIDDING! *disclaimer... this has nothing to do with my sexual habits... I am not saying I am having sex, or even know where babies come from! I am just telling a story about something that made me think "WTF?"*

Writer's Block or Something Like That

I am back from Spring Break. I am alive (which I think you know because I've been on twitter & commenting on your blogs some). However, if you just follow my blog & don't follow me on twitter or anything, you might wonder if I am, in fact, alive. Why? Because I never freakin post anymore! I did write this post... like 2 weeks ago! Last week I was on Spring Break so I have an excuse. And in my defense, even when I was on Spring Break I still tried to blog (only once, but it counts). I was going to do Photo Story Friday, but the awful internet connection at our hotel wouldn't let me upload pictures to blogger. Then, when I got back I wasn't sure if I should just post that late, or post it as something other than a photo story friday post, or just wait until this Friday. I decided to wait, so at least I have that coming up... On my 16 hour car ride to my Spring Break destination, I started writing a post, with the intent of sending it to College Candy as an audition, but it's still in progress. Also, when some drama arose over the break (not with friends I was with, but other bitchy people), I wrote a post about that, and it was pretty good I think. But the next day, I decided it wasn't even worth posting about, so I didn't post it. And now, since I've been back, every night I sit here staring at my computer wondering what on earth to blog about! I usually do my funny quotes post Monday's, and I thought about doing that, but Spring Break edition because we had ton's of funny quotes over the break. Then I thought about just doing a spring break re-cap, but it's not all that interesting if you weren't there and my friends would kill me if I put our pictures up on (even though they are on facebook). So.... those are my excuses. I am posting this for now, and please feel free to provide feedback. What do you want me to blog about!? I'll work on being more interesting, I promise!

No post in over a week!?

I'm still here, I haven't forgotten about my blog! I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week! I have a few posts in the works (in my head), but today it's just gonna be a bit of randomness!

  • 1st of all, I didn't mean to skip KMFBAG two weeks in a row... but unfortunately I don't really have anything to report. I never really got back on the wagon.... yet. But I'm not giving up! Next week is Spring Break, but that doesn't mean I can't work out! I'm gonna use the free time as an excuse to get back on the wagon!
  • Did I mention next week is SPRING BREAK!!!??? I can't tell you how excited I am! I'm going to Panama City, FL with my 3 best friends from my sorority! It is going to be so much fun! So I'm not sure I'll be around here much next week either, but I'll try my best! I'm sure y'all understand, right!?
  • Please take a minute to go check out Serious Life MagazineSerious.Life MagazineIt features a lot of bloggers we read regularly like MckMama & Kelly's Korner, as well as great features, photos and other content.  The magazine is owned and published by a family who have seven kids, three adopted and one who has Leukemia. The magazine gives away a bunch of ads to charities and ministries.  Besides great articles on interesting people, there is a lot about family, adoption, personal finance, spiritual life, humor… all sorts of “life” topics. I'm not published in the magazine (maybe someday!), but I'm in the featured Blogger directory, which is a great way to find new bloggers! Definitely go check it out! :)
  • On another serious note, I have teamed up with my sorority sisters to join the fight against cancer this month. We have joined the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. It is a great way to raise money for cancer research and treatment. So, if you are feeling generous, I would really appreciate it if you would donate. $10 or $100, every little bit matters. Here is a link to my personal page; you can donate online it's that easy. If you could spread the word on your blogs as well, I would so appreciate it! This is what's great about our community; it's really easy for us to spread the word about important stuff like this. I may even have to give those of you who go above & beyond to help me a special prize! Actually, that's a promise. This cause means a lot to me; I lost my grandma to cancer before I was born, and even here in the bloggy world so many people I've come to "know" have been affected by cancer like Heather, Amy, Abby & so many others! Thank you in advance!
  • I promise I'll be back with new posts ASAP, maybe even later today! I've been so behind lately, I haven't been by your blogs a whole lot either, but I'll get there!
Well, I think that's it! Thanks for all the help. I hope I didn't bore you with this random, but serious post! I promise to at least attempt to be funny next time! haha

I Hate to Give Into the Hype but....

Ok, so I really hate giving into the hype for things like this. I was reluctant to even discuss The Bachelor because I know it's all ABC's master plan to do things the way they did to get more hype. I realize by blogging about it, I am contributing to the hype but whatever. Freaking CNN is talking about The Bachelor and my blog has a whole 64 followers, which is great, but it's not like it's gonna make headlines or anything. Plus I promised my friend Elaine that I would re-cap it for y'all that are boycotting it like Daily Jen. **WARNING: SPOILERS FOLLOW! DON'T CONTINUE IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED YET!*** So, in case you've been living under a rock for the past day, here's my recap of The Bachelor finale! Basically it was down to Melissa & Molly. He picks Melissa, proposes, then 6 weeks later he dumps her in front of all of America. (In his defense I did learn that he is under a $5 million contract that requires him to do this.) Then, he brings back Molly and asks her for another chance, telling her he made a mistake, blah blah blah. That was last night... Then tonight there was more! Tonight was The Bachelor: After the Final Rose pt. 2, or as Jen put it After After the Final Rose! haha Tonight was filmed 6 weeks after the show last night, so in total, 12 weeks after the Season Finale when he proposed. Tonight, they brought back Jason & Molly & they said how happy they were... blah blah blah. The audience got to give their opinions about what went down on last nights show, and I was surprised at how mixed the reactions were... I expected the audience to be full of Team Molly members! They made really good points... one guy (yes a guy was at The Bachelor show!) pointed out that if he were as emotional after saying goodbye to someone as Jason was after saying goodbye to Molly, he wouldn't have gone from that to proposing to someone else. I couldn't agree more! I've seen other seasons where they say I like you, but I'm not ready to propose. What is so wrong with that?!! I guess it's not good enough for ABC... They also brought back some of the rejected Bachelorette's before the final 3, who they said were some fan favorites. Um... I have to ask whose favorites these women were?! It was Naomi, Kari (who I don't even remember), Erica (drama queen), a few others who I don't remember, and Stephanie (who is okay, but not my favorite personally). They gave their opinions on what Jason did, and surprise! They pretty much defended him... I don't know about you, but that surprises me! Then, Jason came back and told everyone he really cares about Molly, and if he didn't, he wouldn't go through all the hype he did to get to this point. They said they've spent a few weekends together in the past 6 weeks, and things are going "really well." They both look really happy... so I'm happy for them. I was always torn between Molly & Melissa! They are both so charming in different ways. I still disagree with the way the whole dumping thing played out, but I wouldn't back out on a $5 million contract either... not gonna lie! Then, finally, they announced the next Bachelorette! Jillian will be the next Bachelorette.. airing May 18th (I'm pretty sure that's the right date). I'm really excited about this; I always liked her from the beginning! Her & her hot dog theory cracked me up on the 1st show! So, overall tonight made me hate Jason less, and I decided Molly & Jason are cute... but I still feel horrible for Melissa that every television station is replaying the proposal and the break up over & over again... plus the new People magazine is featuring Jason & Molly on the cover declaring their love some more! Here are some highlights you have to see/read if you haven't already: Jason on Jimmy Kimmell Jesse Csincsak's thoughts on the finale (The guy DeAnna chose over Jason in case you forgot who he is).

Funny Comments #6!

Ok, so one more time.. I'm going to beg someone to make a button for this. Eventually I will stop asking, but I felt like trying one more time at least! Also, I think I'm going to re-name this either "Say What!?" or "They said what?!"... feedback would be appreciated! (I'm also open to better suggestions). Moving right along, here are this weeks highlights of funniness (ok now I'm making up words) "I wish I were a 7" "Um you're a 10!" "Shut up!!" "um... that's a good thing..." "Oh... I thought you were telling my clothing size!" "My sister is super skinny and 1 day I was telling her '2 of you would cover like half of me' and she goes 'yeah, but you have nice teeth!'" "When I was in high school I wanted turrets so bad!" "My perfume smells like vodka..." "ooo!! You should mix it with like a citrusy scent and then it will be like a screwdriver with a flower!" "I'm giving up random hook ups for lent." "Good for you!" "I know I'm gonna do it! Oh no wait I'm not gonna do it that's the thing!" "I went to the gyno and my mom asked her if I could get an infection from wearing thongs too much!" "My mom goes to the movies and gets popcorn and takes it home with her... like she doesn't even watch the movie. She just buys popcorn and leaves! Do you know how crazy that looks!?" (Conversation between 2 girls) "Have you ever had a hickey!?" "No." "Omg. I want to give you a hickey! I'm gonna go in your room when you're sleeping & tackle you & give you the biggest hickey ever!" "I feel like whenever I go over there I always meet guys who I think are really cute, but then they turn out to be not so cute at all when I see them in pictures the next day... I think it's because they always turn the lights off over there!" "I was so drunk somehow I ended up losing my pants & walking down the stairs in my underwear at the frat house." "I'm really good at flirting and getting guys to buy me drinks but for some reason I'm not good at making them want to come home with me..."

KMBFAG Week 3

I know this post is late... I think I was avoiding it because I didn't want to admit failure! Last week was my sorority's philanthropy week (basically a week full of really fun activities with the other fraternities & sorority's hosted by us to raise money for our national philanthropy). So, not only was I really busy, but we were also kind of spoiled by the other Greek houses. Especially on "suck up day/ chapter appreciation day"... people brought over breakfast pizza, tons of delicious chocolate chip cookies, cake, brownies, a ton of candy, and the gifts just kept on coming! On top of that probably slightly more alcohol was consumed during the week more than usual weeks, due to all the fun activities! I really had the best intentions... I wanted to make it to the gym, but I just kept getting so busy! We had events every night, and it was just hard to fit in time! I hate making excuses, I really do, but I have to for the previous week, because it's the truth! Could I have worked out, even if just for a little bit, if I really wanted to that bad? Yes, probably. But I was having fun, and it just fell down the priority list, honestly. I didn't completely fail: I did work out a couple times, but not every day, and I'm sure I gained a lot of weight from all the sweets that were consumed. Once you fall off the wagon, it's really hard to get back on... I haven't been back to the gym yet. I feel like crap... I eat so much better when I work out, I feel better about myself, I know I'm working towards my goals, and that makes me feel good. I am done making excuses. Last week was a lot of fun, and I'm glad I enjoyed the week. It consisted of a lot of great memories. Now, I just need to get back on that wagon and not only stay on, but make it go faster! I've got to work extra hard to make up for lost time, and I do plan to do so. We have initiation this week, meaning no boys, no booze, no bars rule is in effect until Saturday. Meaning, I won't be going out Thursday or Friday so I will not be hung over under the weather extra tired Friday or Saturday. I think I will take Sunday off as our sorority is hosting a party Saturday night. I don't know how much weight I've gained... I'm assuming it's a lot, but hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised when I weigh in tomorrow. Goals for this week:

  • Get back on the wagon a.k.a. get my Big Fat Ass back to the gym!
  • Watch what I eat... when I don't work out my eating kind of goes down the drain, too, so I've got to get back to eating healthier!
  • Drink more water.
  • Start keeping track of what I eat... I think if I hold myself accountable, it will be easier not to eat that extra candy or whatever.
I may or may not update with my weight for this week once I weigh in, depending on how bad it is I might just wait until next week. Hope you did better than me this week!
