My High School Musical 3 Review

I've been meaning to write this post all week, so thanks to Jen @ Daily Mish Mash for hosting Movie Madness, a bloggy carnival all about movies, for motivating me to finally do it! 

I finally did it! I went to go see High School Musical 3 last weekend! I was a huge fan of the 1st High School Musical, and I liked the second one. I was pretty pumped for the 3rd one! So last weekend my best friend and I had a date and went to go to see it! Throughout the movie, we couldn't help but comment on some things that seemed a bit silly to us, or just something we couldn't resist speaking about! So, like the true blogger I am, I compiled our thoughts on my iPhone throughout the movie. Here are mine and Lisa's thoughts on High School Musical 3! 

• It's awfully sunny to be raining- I swear it was during one of the songs with Troy and Gabriella, and they were on top of the school, singing of course, and one minute it was really sunny and then all the sudden it was like sunny & raining... strange! 
• I bet there's a song about this- We would joke around every time there was some major dialogue about how there was gonna be a song, since there's a song for everything! I know it's a musical, we were just being silly.. go with it! 
• Why do they have to sing every time they eat lunch? And where do the tables go?- Seriously, every time they were in the lunch room, there was a song! And magically... the tables disappeared! Where do they go?!? 
• The freshman look 8- seriously how old were the actors that were supposed to be the freshman, because they did not look like freshman. And for once, they didn't look older than they were supposed to, but younger! Can't they just look the right age for once?!
• OMG Gabriella's clothes- are fabulous!!! If only I were that skinny and could afford clothes like that... I can dream right?! 
• Why does Troy have to climb over everything?- Seriously, at one point he gets out of his truck, hops over the back to get the other side to open the door for Gabriella. Um... I guess he looked cool and all, but why not just walk around?! Later, he did the same thing with a chair, like hopped over it in some half dance move or something, when he could've just walked around! 
• Best Line of the whole movie: "Take a breather, Lebron"- I don't know why, but for some reason we found this hilarious! 
• Sharpay's purse looks like a hoola-hoop- seriously, if you haven't seen the movie yet, when you do look for the hoola-hoop purse! It's too funny and too weird! 
• Troy is so sensitive- maybe a little too sensitive? Just throwing it out there... 
• Why is it raining basketballs?!- At one point, during one of Troy's songs I think, it was literally raining basketballs! But miraculously, somehow none of them hit him even though he was standing right there! hmm.. 
• Who bike rides in a mini skirt?!- Apparently Gabriella a.k.a. Vanessa Hudgens does because she did in the movie! Who does that?!? Inappropriate! And you would think that would be really uncomfortable...
• What kind of theatre performance has different actors playing the same role at different parts of the show- I don't wanna say too much about this, because I don't want to give away any spoilers, but seriously... the theatre performance was so strange, but of course everyone in the movie loved it! Whatever!

And finally... my favorite one: 

• Pink Leather pants... really?! Enough said! 

Overall, it was a good movie, not my favorite HSM movie by any means, and it was pretty high on the corny scale, but it was worth seeing. I know a lot of people who loved it, and the music as always was pretty good! Can't wait to download some of the songs. Hope you enjoyed our thoughts & reflections. Why I Love Spam E-mail

So I'm pretty sure we all get spam e-mail from time to time, and I don't know about you but I have a love-hate relationship with it. Most of the time, it's just some stupid robot trying to sell you something or sometimes it's not even in English! Most of the time it's just annoying to sift through the crap to get to the good e-mails. However, once in awhile a good one actually comes along. Take for instance the spam e-mail I got today. It was just too weird and too funny to delete and never speak of again! Allow me to demonstrate: 

Knock!!! knock!!!! (Um... this is an e-mail you're not at my door why are you knocking?!) May i come into ur world ??? (Come into my word?!!? I don't even know you!) I bring no flower, no cake , no chocalote, but i wishes u (wow great grammar) flesh prayer to keep ur healthy & luv to keep u smiling... (Um.. what?!?!) May u begin the day with a smile on ur face &with happiness from ur soul to embrace. Am Mark Ken(Again with the grammar...) with a simple life..everything is good and i'm enjoying my life as it is.. (I'm so happy for you... since I don't even know you!) i'm hoping to achieve something in the future, (aren't we all!?) aiming for the stars...still struggling with my business (owh i should not put struggling but i'm enjoying it the way i suppose to)... (wow what was that side note? Didn't quite catch that..)really wish to meet with that special someone one fine day and i always praying for that...i loves the way i am today but the most important thing is i'm missing to ask as my friend so much especially my parents, i lost them in a airport crash...hard to believes that they are so far away from me..really wish to see them and also my bestess friends back at home..miss you priness (what is he calling me princess?? Creepy...) please come ro (do what now?) my and be my queen so that we can have a lot Fun-loving, style-conscious, creative and genuine, (was that a sentence?) you all know who you are..huhuhu---> (what did he just say??!?! huhuhhu???) 

I didn't add too many comments to that one because I think it speaks for itself... 

Then there's this one... apparently it's ok to request money from people you don't even know:

I love getting awards, who doesn't?! It really brightens my day to know that people not only read my blog, but like it. That's crazy to me! I mean I think I'm a decent writer, and some of the stuff I have to say is interesting, but still, maybe it's not so interesting to everyone else. Anyway, thank you to Dee, Laural Out Loud, Island Girl. They have each awarded me with a shiny (sometimes even sparkly!) new award! I'm so excited! Me vs. You

Why is it that we can't just be happy with what we have, and we always have to compare it to everyone else? There will always be something that's not good enough if we constantly compare ourselves to other people: Someone will always be skinnier than me... that's just the way it is. But then there are the few that aren't. Someone will always have more money than I do... Someone will always be happier than I am... Someone will always be something that I am not or just more so than I am. Why is it that we do this to ourselves? Why can't I be grateful for what I am and for what I do have without comparing it to other people? There is usually nothing good that comes from this... it usually only leads to feeling inadequate.. at least in my case. I may not ever measure up to other people... but I am me, and I should be happy with that. Easier said than done, obviously, but it's really starting to make me crazy! I am setting myself up for disappointment by comparing myself to everyone else. The truth is my friends boyfriend might say sweet things that mine doesn't.. but that doesn't mean that my boyfriend and I aren't happy! The truth is half my friends will probably always be skinnier than me, and it sucks, but I am who I am! It's such a waste of time to compare ourselves to everyone else... we are all our own person and that's the way it should be. So why can't we just love ourselves and what we have without worrying about other people!?

How do you really feel?

So I love facebook for many reasons, but tonight, after the results of the election were announced, I came to love facebook even more. Why, you ask? Let me tell you, friends... if you wanna know what people are really thinking, just log on to facebook, and read some of your friends status's. Or, better read some of mine. Some are happy, some are claiming they are leaving the country, and some are just freaking hilarious! Allow me to demonstrate: Here are some of my favorite negative one's:

• Stocking up because we're screwed
• scared for everyone's future...
• Bye, Bye America
• Way to go America for electing a damn terrorist
• Congrats America.. you've elected a damn idiot for president!
• can only sit aside and sob as I watch the country fall apart and see people celebrating...
• omg what has America done? the next 4 years we are f***ed.
• well yall wanted change and yall are about to see it, and it wont be good. F*** Obama.
• excited to quit her job and go on welfare. Yay president hussein!! Oops. I meant Obama. My bad.
• can't believe so many people are so easily fooled.
• now that the dems are in control of the house, the senate, and the presidency, who are they going to blame now?
• We should all make sure we look pretty cuz this country is about to get f****ed.
• I can't believe America voted for a baby killer.

Countless people seem to think the solution is to move out of the country, to everywhere from Canada to Israel to Australia, and even Texas "if it secedes". One is going to Mexico: "I plan on going to Mexico to sit on the beach and drink for the next four years" Some just claim they are moving out period, apparently they haven't come up with a good location yet! Some are just shocking: "i can see the headlines now... "President Turned Terrorist Bombs His Own Country." " "in mourning and can't wait for increased taxes! no longer the white housee..........it is now the black house!" "wow america.. f***in n****" " its ok someone will probly assassinate him so dont wry bout it." Here are some of my favorite positive ones:

• I must be a fortune teller cause I predicted this to happen, sorry McCain you tried now go cry.
• Do you republicans need help packing? Because the rest of us are ready for change!
• so glad America made the right decision!!! Suck it Republicans!!! OBAMA 08!!!
• WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OBAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA NO MORE BUSH NO MORE BUSH NO MORE BUSH NO MORE BUSH!
• if obama get shot its goin to be war and you dont want that trust...and if you need help moving please let me know i got tons of boxes to help.

I can't even count the number of people whose status's were simply OBAMA! or OBAMA 08 or something of that nature. Some have suggestions as to who should run in 2012 already, including themselves:

• just wants to party my life away, no more election crap! neither should of been elected. we all should have voted for MEEEEEEEE :)
• announcing his intent to run for President in 2028.
• f*** em! f*** em! LIL WAYNE FOR PRESIDENT!
• is running in 2012 cause anyone apparently can make it.
• 4 more years...lil wayne for president!
• mccain can't make it rain and obama can f*** a llama. ME FOR PREZZZIDENT.

And my all-time favorite:

• WHYYY MCCAIN!! WHY DID YOU LOSE? YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A WINNER IN MY HEART BIG OLDIE.

And what, do you ask, is my status?? Patrice is choosing to have no comment on the election.. unlike every1 else I'll keep my opinion to myself, thanks :)

Yay for Birthday's!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! :) I'm so excited!! It's my 1st birthday away from home, so its bittersweet... but mostly sweet! I'm 19 today! And you know I'm gonna celebrate all weekend (starting tonight!) So, for my birthday, feel free to send me packages! I love mail! But I love the virtual kind of mail, too! So I'm stealing borrowing an idea from Sam, who for her birthday asked for enough comments to break her record, which was 35. When I finally clicked over to her, I believe she was at 65! Way to go Sam! So my comment record is only 20 comments on this post, which is awesome! But that shouldn't be too hard to break, right?! So if you could give me a shout out for my birthday, I would love to break my record, and set a new one! That's all I ask of you for my birthday :) Thank you in advance, and in return, I promise to return with reports of all the fun I'll be having this weekend!

My Poor Blog!

My Poor blog... it has been so neglected lately! It doesn't deserve this! I used to be so good to it, writing daily, always checking in with all my bloggy friends, and (hopefully) being interesting! Lately.. well I've been neglected my blog, your blog, and I feel pretty boring! I've been full of memes, and blog fests, whatever you wanna call them. Bottom line is it's pretty unoriginal! I have attempted to write some good stuff... but they remain drafts in my folder. I meant to check in with Looking Fine by '09 on Monday, but never got around to it. Then I meant to do Top 5 Tuesday, but again, never got around to it. And last week, I totally spaced out about It's Real Life! I was so excited to do my video, too, then Friday came and went and I forgot all about it! This whole school thing is really getting me down.. I just wanna give up sometimes. I know it's my fault, because I procrastinate, and I don't study as much as I should, blah blah blah... but it still sucks. I hate doing homework, I hate studying. There's so much better things to do! I just really need a break, but no such luck! On the bright side.. my birthday is tomorrow!! :) I'm super excited! My mom's been sending me a package a day all week with presents, it's so much fun! I've gotten some great stuff so far! I love birthday's! I'll be spending my birthday tomorrow night with my new boyfriend, who things are going really well with, at his fraternities Halloween party! We're going as people from the 50's, so I'll be wearing a poodle skirt & he's wearing jeans and a leather jacket! I'll post pictures if we take any, which might not be likely! But hopefully someone will have a camera! Last week was a busy week, too, because it was initiation week for my sorority. Basically what that means for those of you not familiar with sororities is that we had ceremonies every night and those of us who just joined the sorority this year are now official members. Probably doesn't make much sense if you're not familiar with sororities and stuff, but I felt like telling you anyway! :) Also, Dee made my day today by giving me a wonderful new bloggy award! I'm so excited, thanks Dee! So look out for that, I'll try to give it out to you guys soon! Also, I almost forgot that Mamasphere loves me!! hehe She sent me the I heart you award last week, so I'll post that, too! :) I don't wanna promise that I'll be around more because I know I'm gonna be busy coming up this weekend with my birthday and Halloween and everything, but I'll try! I'm permanently behind on reading your blogs, so I'm slowly trying to catch up on that, too! Story of my life! haha
