Fake Conversation pt 2!

If you don't know the story behind this... go here! There's nothing like the holiday's to bring back old friends... or fake friends! Christmas day I got a text from a number I didn't recognize... then I remembered! It was Britney... she was back! So of course I texted back... all in the name of blogging obviously, not for my own amusement or because I am that lame that I actually enjoy having conversations with complete strangers who think I'm someone else. Anyway, here's how it went: *Note: I translated some of the text speak, but occasionally it will still b n slang like dis... so bear with me! Britney: Merry Christmas Me: (thinking) hmm... who is this number?!? I checked the list of numbers for my sorority sisters, but it wasn't one of them. I had 1 of my friends call the number to see who it was, no answer, and the voice mail didn't have a name! WtF!? So finally curiosity got the best of me, and I just had to know who this was! Me: Who is this!? Britney: It's Britney! (oh yeah... Britney! ok well I guess I'll text back..) Me: Oh hey! (of course I know you are, silly me!) Merry Christmas :) (I think the smiley face adds a little extra friendliness!) Well, apparently Britney didn't feel the need to respond, but I couldn't let her go that easy! She was finally texting me back! I had to get her to talk somehow... so I texted her again! (I did this for the blog of course!) Me: How was your Christmas!? (See you have to ask a question! That requires a response, so she has to text back, right!?) Britney: My xmas was good :) (see, she does the smiley thing, too!) how was yours!? Me: That's good! (I'm trying to be supportive!) Mine was good 2! I haven't talked 2 u n 4ever! What have u been up 2!? (Translation: Give me some dirt... come on!) Britney: Nothing really just getting my back into school and workin my butt off... u!? (Boring! This is not dirt!) Me: That's no fun :( (I'm telling you the smiley faces really add something!) How's that going!? I'm just living the life u know crazy parties wild adventures lol (I'm kidding... kind of ;-) haha) Britney: hahaha gotta love it! (umm yeah!) I miss that part of life :) haha (I get that a lot...) Me: Lol I know right!!? (My life is really something to be jealous of ha not!) U still working @ Chili's? How's the school thing goin!? (translation: please... tell me something juicy!) Britney: Unfortunately yes :( (Another smiley, geez!) school is coming along. I won't graduate from dental hygiene school for another 3 years though. Whats new you w/ you!? (Now I have to spill...?? That's not how this is supposed to go!) Me: Yeah well at least ur getting it over with! (I am so supportive of my fake friend!) Not much.. my bf and I broke up :( (Why I'm telling her my real life... I don't know, but I don't know what Kathy* has been up to, so either I make something up or just tell her my life story, so might as well go with my life story!) Britney: Oh no! Why!? You seemed so happy! (How depressing is it that even a complete stranger could tell how completely happy I was with him...!?) Me: I know :( I was! (true) But he has a lot going on in his life so he didn't feel like he could be 100% n a relationship so we r trying 2 b friends but its hard. Whats new with u!? (Enough depressing stuff about me!) Britney: Aww I'm sorry sweetheart (woah sweetheart, what!?) Nothing really me and Cody* broke up awhile ago and I moved out with my new bf, best friend, and his best friend (woah new bf already, what!? She moves on fast...) Me: Wow u already have a new bf!? Way 2 go! (I fully support moving on quickly!) What's his name!? What's he like?! (I want juicy details!) Britney: It was a mess to say the least (yes! drama!) Cody* had bought me an engagement ring and I didn't even know about it. (She gave me more details about this last time) Me: Yeah u told me about that (tell me something I don't know!) Wow do you think yaall will ever get back 2gether!? (The age old question of course!) Britney: haha I'm classy :) haha. (ok it's not that funny! enough haha's!) his name is bryan*... he's a total goofball just like me & he treats me like a million dollars (how exactly do you treat someone like a million dollars!?) Britney: I don't think so... he was gone so much I fell out of love with him and I kind of resented him cause he was never around... not that it was his fault (hmm... sounds like a Lifetime movie!) Me: Aww! I'm jealous!! He sounds like a great guy! (The new guy not the old one!) I'm happy 4 u :) (As happy as I can be for someone I've never met...) I hope 1 day I will find some1! I totally understand about you & Cody that happens! (That's supportive, right!? What would Kathy say? I don't know!) Do y'all ever talk!? (More drama, come on!) Britney: yeah, we just started talking like a week ago (there's gotta be more to the story... come on!) You'll find someone you're a great girl (I'm sure Kathy is a great girl... wouldn't know!) But I have to go back to work :( Call me sometime! I miss you! Me: (secretly bummed this conversation is ending) Ok good luck with everything! It was good catching up with u! (a.k.a thanks for finally texting me back so I have something to blog about!) Text me soon :) (As opposed to calling... I don't want you to know I'm not the real Kathy!) I miss u 2! (I'm sure Kathy does miss you... me? Not so much!) So that was how part 2 of "Kathy" and Britney went! What will be next!? Will Britney call? I don't know if I could pull that off... but then again it doesn't seem like they talk too much, so maybe she won't know!? I think it's safe to say for now that the secret is safe...

My 100th post Bloggaversary!

It's HERE! It's my 100th post or as I like to call it my blogiversary (you know like blogging anniversary)! So I thought long and hard about what to do for this... do I give something away? 1. I have a lot of feelings, and this is a way to express those feelings, and put them into words. It's very therapeutic.
2. I love "meeting" new people. That's one of the best parts about this bloggy world- you meet new people, and you bond over your likes, dislikes, etc!
3. Comments, duh! Comments are so fun, and people can be so nice. I love love it when new people come over, and leave comments like "I love your blog" or "You're so funny" <--- I never hear that in real life!
4. The community aspect of it! I love that we are like our own bloggy community! We can rally when someone needs our support, like Heather, or Amy and we have our own bloggy parties, like Aud's Dinner parties, and the amazing SITS community! It's like being in an exclusive club!
5. It's the easiest way to keep my family updated about school and stuff so I don't have to send out like 100 e-mails a day being like "this is what happened today... blah blah blah" lol
6. I love to write! I hate writing papers ironically because I hate when people tell me to write something specific... here I can just write whatever I feel like & whenever I want!
7. It's a total ego booster... like I said on #3, people say some of the nicest things! It makes me feel so good even when one new person comes to my blog and says they enjoy it!

1. I am extremely sensitive to smell- I hate the smell of bubble gum, I don't like the smell of cleaning products, I am just super sensitive to all smells & it drives me crazy sometimes!
2. I am a facebook addict. I am on like seriously all the time. It is sad. I wouldn't be so addicted if it weren't for facebook chat, but I have a constant need to know who is online & if I'm missing out on some potentially amazing conversation.
3. I watch way too much TV. I could probably name like 50 shows I watch religiously. Ok maybe not that many but you know what I mean!
4. I'm not a morning person at all. I hate mornings, but I am such a "night owl" (I hate that term). I am usually up 'till at least 1 AM most nights, and usually much later. Even if I'm not doing anything, it's just a habit to stay up late.
5. I say "lol" way too much! Especially if I don't know what to say I just say lol & I usually say it before every sentence even if nothing is funny! Sometimes I substitute lol for haha
6. I use exclamation points way too much too. Especially in comments I always feel like I put way too many exclamation points. I just don't know how else to show my enthusiasm when typing!
7. I hate when you're having a conversation with someone texting or IM or something, and you say something & they respond with only "lol" or "ok". Ugh it is such a pet peeve! How are you supposed to carry on a conversation after that!?
8. You know how guys say they often find girls more attractive in sweats & a t-shirt? Well I think the same is true for guys, I am really attracted to guys when they are just wearing athletic sweats or something. Then again, it is really hot when they get all spiffed up in suits & a tie & everything! So I guess its a toss up!
9. I have the worst sweet tooth... I love sweets! Anything sweet... you name, and I'm sure I love it!

Random Things

So I keep trying to write an actual post, but for some reason I start working on it and then decide it sucks. Do you ever do that? I don't know what my deal is... Anyway, for now I'm just gonna post a bunch of randomness and maybe I can decide on an actual post eventually. So here are some random thoughts in bullet points for your better reading! lol

• I've been working on my Christmas tour post that everyone has been posting, and I was going to do with 2 angles, like since it's my 1st Christmas having 2 homes- school & home I was going to do both, but for some reason I feel like the post was turning out really boring.. any thoughts?
• Cammie gave me an award today! I'm so excited! I have a bunch of awards I need to give away, so I should do that soon!
• So far my winter break has kinda sucked... and it hasn't even been a week. There is so much drama with my friends from home it's ridiculous. It's making me want to go back to school ASAP but I still have 30 days :(
• Apparently it is the season for bloggy giveaways, and I entered a couple just for fun, over at Tyne's place & Fablous K Creative. Both are for blog makeovers & even though I love my layout done by Krystyn, I thought it would be fun to enter anyway for kicks. Everyone needs a makeover now & then!
• I decided what I'm going to do for my 100th post! I want to keep it a surprise, though! I'm pretty excited about it :)
• I think I came up with a new idea for a weekly meme possibly mr. linky thing... I don't know I'm still working out the details, but I think it could be fun!

Not Me Monday! (2nd Edition)

Yay! I'm back for another week of Not Me Monday over at MckMama's place! So, here are the things I did not do this week! I did not stay up until almost 4 in the morning last night chatting with friends even though I had my 1st final at 9 AM this morning... not me! I did not show up to my final this morning only to remember we have 2 other chances to take the exam later in the week, and once I remembered that I definitely did not leave my exam! I did not have a little too much to drink Saturday night, and wake up sick Sunday... of course not, I am not 21, so I did not drink at all! I did not panic when my debit card was declined when I tried to buy pizza yesterday... and I did not realize it was declined because I spent almost all my money on fast food and had hardly any left. I did not let myself get upset Saturday night after seeing my ex for the 1st time in awhile, and it did not bother me that we still didn't say hi to each other even though we agreed we would from now on... I don't care! I did not shave my legs for the 1st time in 2 weeks this weekend... I would never go that long without shaving! I did not go out of my way to bring one of my guy friends (who happens to be one of my ex's frat brothers) advil since he claimed no one in the frat house had any & he needed his fever to go down, and I did not find out afterward when talking to some of his brothers that several of them had advil afterall. I did not have to clean off my un-made bed before sleeping in it last night, and I did not have to remove beer caps from my bed... I also did not sleep on top of the mattress without a sheet because the sheet wouldn't stay on the bed. Nope... didn't happen! I did not party every night this weekend starting Thursday, except for Sunday, and I do not plan to party every night this week... I will be studying 24/7 of course! I also did not spend hours posting 100's of pictures on facebook of these said parties... that would be crazy! I did not wait until the last minute to write my speech that is due at 1:00 PM today... and I did not "take a break" from it to write this! I did not almost not write this post because only an hour after MckMama posted, there were already over 100 people on the Mr. Linky!

Can't Believe I Didn't Blog About This Sooner!

A non-break up related post!! Woo for me trying to move on! I was over at Mrs. Newlywed's site today, and was reminded of her awesome contest about your biggest misadventure of 2008! At first, I didn't enter because I didn't think I had any misadventures, at least not funny or interesting one's. Then, today, a light bulb came on and I couldn't believe I hadn't told this story yet! So one night, a couple weeks ago, my best friend in my sorority house and I decided we should take an adventure. It was like midnight or somewhere around there, but we are young & in college & we didn't care! So my friend decides we should smoke flavored cigars, and I agreed... so we go to the gas station to buy cigars & decide we should drive around town smoking. Well, I don't know if you've ever smoked cigars and accidentally inhaled, but it can give you quite a buzz! We were having a great time... we couldn't stop laughing, and at one point my friend had to pull over because she felt like she was driving under the influence! Anyway, we called one of our guy friends who heard about our adventure, so we decided to invite him. So we go over to his fraternity house at the other college in town and pick up him and his roommate. They decide we should go to Taco Bell, so we do, and then we decide we'll just drive around town some more and smoke, and they can eat their taco bell. So it's a small town... there's not far to drive, so we go down this one road that pretty much has nothing on it, so my friend turns on her brights because it was a long road & it was hard to see. Well, we were lead to the highway going to Jeff City, a major city outside of town and we didn't want to go on a road trip like that, so we turn around. Well, after a few minutes when we turn around, my friend gets pulled over. Turns out she forgot to turn off her brights, and its illegal when you're approaching a car to have your brights on. Let me just say the cops here in town have a reputation for not being so nice. This was my 1st experience with them, and I would say that statement is pretty true. The cop stops us, and tells her why she was pulled over, asks for not only her ID, but all of our ID's. So we give it to him. Of course, my friend can't find her insurance so we spend 10 minutes looking for the insurance, and then finally we find it and give it to the officer. After stalling for what seems like forever, the cop comes over and asks my friend who was driving to get out of the car. By this time, two more police cars and officers have showed up. So the cop talks to my friend and asks her if any of us have been drinking tonight (we hadn't), and she answers honestly that she and I haven't but she doesn't know if the guys have because we just picked them up. He goes on to tell her that he smelled beer in her car, and has she had beer in the car recently? She tells him she has never had beer in the car. She points out that one of the cigars we were smoking was wine flavored, maybe that's why it smells like alcohol? So, one of the other officers that showed up proceeded to go over and pick up one of the cigars we had thrown on the ground (more on that later), broke it in half, sniffed it & claimed they didn't smell anything fruity in it... Then the officer comes over and asks me to step out of the car, and go stand by my friend. He asks me if I've been drinking tonight. I say no. He asks me if my friends have been drinking and I can honestly answer no since we discussed it once our friend got asked to get out of the car, and say no. So he asks me if he gets them out of the car, and find out that they have been drinking, if he can arrest me too. I say yes, because I was 100% sure they hadn't been drinking unless they were lying to me. AT this point, I'm freaking out a little... I just told an officer he could arrest me! I think about who I would call if I were in jail- my (now ex) boyfriend? Well I don't know if I want him to think of me as the kind of girl who gets arrested... my parents? Well, what are they going to do all the way from TX? Someone in our sorority house... who? Then the officer asks me more questions... about the cigars we were smoking. He asks me if I was smoking, I say yes. Then he asks me if I threw it out the window. I say yes, because I got nervous when they pulled us over & so I threw mine out the window! Not smart. He then asks me if I was aware that its a $500 fine for littering... and my response?? Are you serious?!?! (I don't do well under pressure... I was nervous!) He then says "Why would I joke about that?" Me: "Umm... well I didn't know that, sorry." Officer: You didn't know that throwing something out the window was littering..?" me: "Well... I didn't know cigars counted!" Yeah, I can sound real dumb when I'm nervous!! Then the officers asked the guys to get out of the car, so they did, and a different officer talked to each of them. It went something like this: Officer: Have you been drinking tonight? Boy 1: No sir... Officer: When was the last time you slept? Boy 1: Um... Last night. Officer: How much did you sleep? Boy 1: I don't know... 8 hours? Then the officer asked him at least twice where he was coming from, and what he was doing out, and several times if he had been drinking. The conversation with boy 2 was even more bizarre... Officer: Where are you coming from? Boy 2: Westminster College... Officer: When was the last time you got high? Boy 2: Um... never. Officer: Are you always this nervous? Boy 2: I'm not nervous. Officer: Well you're shaking, why are you nervous? Boy 2: Its 30 degrees outside, and I'm wearing shorts. I'm shaking because I'm really cold! Officer: Why would you do that? Boy 2: Um I don't know it was warm earlier today. Finally, after at least 20 minutes of interrogating us, and making us stand outside in the cold and think that we could be getting arrested... they finally let us go without a ticket or anything. I think it's pretty safe to say this was definitely a misadventure!
