Straight from my brain to the blog!

So I have a lot of random thoughts I feel I should share on here, but are not worth making a whole post out of each one, so it's time for my favorite bulleted list of random thoughts... I should really make this like a weekly thing, I do it a lot. (Wow was that a run on sentence or what?! )

• 1st of all... thank you so much for all your sweet compliments on my post yesterday! You guys are too kind, really! I swear I didn't post that just to fish for compliments ;)
• Also I really need to write my post about my beer pong injuries! Beer pong is a very dangerous game let me tell you! I tried to write it the other day but I was having serious writers block... ironic I know, but I can't figure out how to explain it!
• I also have quite a few other posts in the works, I'm pretty excited about them, I just need to write/finish them.. that's the hard part!
• This week started my 2nd semester as a college student! So far I like all my classes and I really like my schedule because I don't have class until 1 on Friday's (and Monday's & Wednesday's) which means PARRTAAYY on Thursday! lol It's a huge party night here & last semester I had class at 9, so I had to miss out a lot :( That is when I'm not studying, of course!
• I am completely in love with Real Housewives of Orange County! I'm so glad McMommy started a whole blog about it! As soon as I watch the show I immediately head over there to read her hilarious re-caps & theories!
• Since it seems to be the trend to start a 2nd blog, I might just have to about all my TV addictions, because when I am watching all these shows I just feel the need to speak my mind! haha I don't know if I'll do it... I'll see if I still want to in a couple weeks!
• I am so behind in my blog reading! My reader is currently almost at 700!! Can you believe it?!? I don't know how I got so behind! I am tempted to press that Mark all as read button... but I don't want to miss something! Maybe I can catch up this weekend...

Introducing... me!

So Mrs. Staff Sergeant over at Married to the Military is daring us bloggers who don't normally post pictures of ourselves (or even if we do we can still play) to post pictures of ourselves on our blog, and go link up with her! I think this is a great idea! I don't normally post pictures on my blog just because I blog about random things, there aren't really pictures to go with them. Anyway, I update my little profile picture on the side occasionally, and my avatar on twitter, but that's about it! Anyway, I was gonna cheat and just pick my favorite pictures of me off Facebook, but I just got my haircut so it really wouldn't be an accurate portrayal of me! So I was looking particularly cute today, so I decided to have some fun and take some pictures for this! Good deal, huh?! This was me Monday night before going out and partying! lol This was me today! Since It was the 1st day of classes I decided to actually put make up on and stuff! I decided to have some fun with my pictures too, so these are my silly pictures! hehe So that's me in all my glory.. err not so much but you know what I mean! Now its your turn! I see pictures of your cute kiddo's all the time, or other random things, but I want to know what you look like, too! Not Me Monday #4

Not me Monday is back in action, and this week was full of fun times & crazy things I did not do as always! I did not stay in a $36 motel for NYE... I also did not end up not spending the night because I did not feel safe!(ok this wasn't from the past week but so what!?) I did not miss my curfew several times in a row... And it did not make my mom mad! Nope. I did not fly in my best friend from school to come stay with me for a week & we did not have a blast! Our electricity did not go out due to ice storms and we did not have to stay the night at my aunt & uncles mansion and my bff & I did not have a blast playing with all the little kid toys that are for their grandchildren. We also did not decide to make music videos with the karaoke machine on the stage in the media room. (yes, there is a stage). We did not rent movies & never even look twice at them because we were too busy playing with the toys! We did not hit every major mall in the area while she was here & we did not go to the same mall twice. I did not somehow manage to rip my pajamas right in the front where the crotch is. I did not decide to ride back to school with 1 of my friends... It is not a 10 hr drive! That would be crazy! I did not decide at the last minute to post & write this from my iPhone while on the road... I am more prepared than that! I did not accidentally drop my iPhone on the driveway & it did not crack at the top. (But if this did happen I would be grateful it still works!) Wanna see what everyone else did not do this week? Comfort Zones

I am a strong believer that everyone has a comfort zone. You know that place where you just feel so right and nothing could change that!? Well I am one of those people that hates to be taken out of my comfort zone. I like comfort, I like the feeling it has, I like feeling like I belong somewhere. I am such a fan of my comfort zone that I don't even like vacations really, because I'm not sleeping in my own bed and I'm in a strange place, etc. Well this break from school has just reinforced all this for me... except I now have 2 comfort zones and it's hard/weird to go back and forth between the two. School was and has been my comfort zone since I started there. I feel comfortable there, and I feel like its my home away from home. So at first when I came to my real home, it was weird. I didn't feel home, I felt like I was visiting a familiar place but I didn't really feel home anymore. Then as time went on I got more and more comfortable and this became my home again. Now, just as I started to feel comfortable again and like I belong, I have to leave my comfort zone again and go back to school. Sure I'm excited to see my friends. Yes, I've missed them. Sure, it will be nice and I know it will go back to being my comfort zone again soon. But it's still kind of sad, and scary. This break has been so long I kind of got used to being home again. Now I have to go back, and it's like going to school for the 1st time all over again, only less scary. Sure, there are definite perks: no curfew, no one bugging you about things like where your going, what your doing, who your with, etc. But still... I'll miss my friends here, and of course I'll miss my family. I wish I had spent more time with them. It's sad because I don't know for sure when I'll be back, it might be the summer which is in 6 months. I know school will be great, I love where I go to school and I have no doubt that it will take no time to once again become my comfort zone, but it is still not fun to leave your comfort zone.

Fake Conversation pt 2!

If you don't know the story behind this... go here! There's nothing like the holiday's to bring back old friends... or fake friends! Christmas day I got a text from a number I didn't recognize... then I remembered! It was Britney... she was back! So of course I texted back... all in the name of blogging obviously, not for my own amusement or because I am that lame that I actually enjoy having conversations with complete strangers who think I'm someone else. Anyway, here's how it went: *Note: I translated some of the text speak, but occasionally it will still b n slang like dis... so bear with me! Britney: Merry Christmas Me: (thinking) hmm... who is this number?!? I checked the list of numbers for my sorority sisters, but it wasn't one of them. I had 1 of my friends call the number to see who it was, no answer, and the voice mail didn't have a name! WtF!? So finally curiosity got the best of me, and I just had to know who this was! Me: Who is this!? Britney: It's Britney! (oh yeah... Britney! ok well I guess I'll text back..) Me: Oh hey! (of course I know you are, silly me!) Merry Christmas :) (I think the smiley face adds a little extra friendliness!) Well, apparently Britney didn't feel the need to respond, but I couldn't let her go that easy! She was finally texting me back! I had to get her to talk somehow... so I texted her again! (I did this for the blog of course!) Me: How was your Christmas!? (See you have to ask a question! That requires a response, so she has to text back, right!?) Britney: My xmas was good :) (see, she does the smiley thing, too!) how was yours!? Me: That's good! (I'm trying to be supportive!) Mine was good 2! I haven't talked 2 u n 4ever! What have u been up 2!? (Translation: Give me some dirt... come on!) Britney: Nothing really just getting my back into school and workin my butt off... u!? (Boring! This is not dirt!) Me: That's no fun :( (I'm telling you the smiley faces really add something!) How's that going!? I'm just living the life u know crazy parties wild adventures lol (I'm kidding... kind of ;-) haha) Britney: hahaha gotta love it! (umm yeah!) I miss that part of life :) haha (I get that a lot...) Me: Lol I know right!!? (My life is really something to be jealous of ha not!) U still working @ Chili's? How's the school thing goin!? (translation: please... tell me something juicy!) Britney: Unfortunately yes :( (Another smiley, geez!) school is coming along. I won't graduate from dental hygiene school for another 3 years though. Whats new you w/ you!? (Now I have to spill...?? That's not how this is supposed to go!) Me: Yeah well at least ur getting it over with! (I am so supportive of my fake friend!) Not much.. my bf and I broke up :( (Why I'm telling her my real life... I don't know, but I don't know what Kathy* has been up to, so either I make something up or just tell her my life story, so might as well go with my life story!) Britney: Oh no! Why!? You seemed so happy! (How depressing is it that even a complete stranger could tell how completely happy I was with him...!?) Me: I know :( I was! (true) But he has a lot going on in his life so he didn't feel like he could be 100% n a relationship so we r trying 2 b friends but its hard. Whats new with u!? (Enough depressing stuff about me!) Britney: Aww I'm sorry sweetheart (woah sweetheart, what!?) Nothing really me and Cody* broke up awhile ago and I moved out with my new bf, best friend, and his best friend (woah new bf already, what!? She moves on fast...) Me: Wow u already have a new bf!? Way 2 go! (I fully support moving on quickly!) What's his name!? What's he like?! (I want juicy details!) Britney: It was a mess to say the least (yes! drama!) Cody* had bought me an engagement ring and I didn't even know about it. (She gave me more details about this last time) Me: Yeah u told me about that (tell me something I don't know!) Wow do you think yaall will ever get back 2gether!? (The age old question of course!) Britney: haha I'm classy :) haha. (ok it's not that funny! enough haha's!) his name is bryan*... he's a total goofball just like me & he treats me like a million dollars (how exactly do you treat someone like a million dollars!?) Britney: I don't think so... he was gone so much I fell out of love with him and I kind of resented him cause he was never around... not that it was his fault (hmm... sounds like a Lifetime movie!) Me: Aww! I'm jealous!! He sounds like a great guy! (The new guy not the old one!) I'm happy 4 u :) (As happy as I can be for someone I've never met...) I hope 1 day I will find some1! I totally understand about you & Cody that happens! (That's supportive, right!? What would Kathy say? I don't know!) Do y'all ever talk!? (More drama, come on!) Britney: yeah, we just started talking like a week ago (there's gotta be more to the story... come on!) You'll find someone you're a great girl (I'm sure Kathy is a great girl... wouldn't know!) But I have to go back to work :( Call me sometime! I miss you! Me: (secretly bummed this conversation is ending) Ok good luck with everything! It was good catching up with u! (a.k.a thanks for finally texting me back so I have something to blog about!) Text me soon :) (As opposed to calling... I don't want you to know I'm not the real Kathy!) I miss u 2! (I'm sure Kathy does miss you... me? Not so much!) So that was how part 2 of "Kathy" and Britney went! What will be next!? Will Britney call? I don't know if I could pull that off... but then again it doesn't seem like they talk too much, so maybe she won't know!? I think it's safe to say for now that the secret is safe...

My 100th post Bloggaversary!

It's HERE! It's my 100th post or as I like to call it my blogiversary (you know like blogging anniversary)! So I thought long and hard about what to do for this... do I give something away? Well that would require me to buy something & I'm broke! Should I do that 100 things about me thing that so many people do? 1. I have a lot of feelings, and this is a way to express those feelings, and put them into words. It's very therapeutic.
2. I love "meeting" new people. That's one of the best parts about this bloggy world- you meet new people, and you bond over your likes, dislikes, etc!
3. Comments, duh! Comments are so fun, and people can be so nice. I love love it when new people come over, and leave comments like "I love your blog" or "You're so funny" <--- I never hear that in real life!
4. The community aspect of it! I love that we are like our own bloggy community! We can rally when someone needs our support, like Heather, or Amy and we have our own bloggy parties, like Aud's Dinner parties, and the amazing SITS community! It's like being in an exclusive club!
5. It's the easiest way to keep my family updated about school and stuff so I don't have to send out like 100 e-mails a day being like "this is what happened today... blah blah blah" lol
6. I love to write! I hate writing papers ironically because I hate when people tell me to write something specific... here I can just write whatever I feel like & whenever I want!
7. It's a total ego booster... like I said on #3, people say some of the nicest things! It makes me feel so good even when one new person comes to my blog and says they enjoy it!
8. Awards! I love getting awards! It makes my day, seriously! And I love being able to give them out and making someone else's day :)

1. I am extremely sensitive to smell- I hate the smell of bubble gum, I don't like the smell of cleaning products, I am just super sensitive to all smells & it drives me crazy sometimes!
2. I am a facebook addict. I am on like seriously all the time. It is sad. I wouldn't be so addicted if it weren't for facebook chat, but I have a constant need to know who is online & if I'm missing out on some potentially amazing conversation.
3. I watch way too much TV. I could probably name like 50 shows I watch religiously. Ok maybe not that many but you know what I mean!
4. I'm not a morning person at all. I hate mornings, but I am such a "night owl" (I hate that term). I am usually up 'till at least 1 AM most nights, and usually much later. Even if I'm not doing anything, it's just a habit to stay up late.
5. I say "lol" way too much! Especially if I don't know what to say I just say lol & I usually say it before every sentence even if nothing is funny! Sometimes I substitute lol for haha
6. I use exclamation points way too much too. Especially in comments I always feel like I put way too many exclamation points. I just don't know how else to show my enthusiasm when typing!
7. I hate when you're having a conversation with someone texting or IM or something, and you say something & they respond with only "lol" or "ok". Ugh it is such a pet peeve! How are you supposed to carry on a conversation after that!?
8. You know how guys say they often find girls more attractive in sweats & a t-shirt? Well I think the same is true for guys, I am really attracted to guys when they are just wearing athletic sweats or something. Then again, it is really hot when they get all spiffed up in suits & a tie & everything! So I guess its a toss up!
9. I have the worst sweet tooth... I love sweets! Anything sweet... you name, and I'm sure I love it!
10. Joining my sorority is the greatest decision I ever made! My college experience would never be the same without it. I am so thankful for it.

Random Things

So I keep trying to write an actual post, but for some reason I start working on it and then decide it sucks. Do you ever do that? I don't know what my deal is... Anyway, for now I'm just gonna post a bunch of randomness and maybe I can decide on an actual post eventually. So here are some random thoughts in bullet points for your better reading! lol

• I've been working on my Christmas tour post that everyone has been posting, and I was going to do with 2 angles, like since it's my 1st Christmas having 2 homes- school & home I was going to do both, but for some reason I feel like the post was turning out really boring.. any thoughts?
• Cammie gave me an award today! I'm so excited! I have a bunch of awards I need to give away, so I should do that soon!
• So far my winter break has kinda sucked... and it hasn't even been a week. There is so much drama with my friends from home it's ridiculous. It's making me want to go back to school ASAP but I still have 30 days :(
• Apparently it is the season for bloggy giveaways, and I entered a couple just for fun, over at Tyne's place & Fablous K Creative. Both are for blog makeovers & even though I love my layout done by Krystyn, I thought it would be fun to enter anyway for kicks. Everyone needs a makeover now & then!
• I decided what I'm going to do for my 100th post! I want to keep it a surprise, though! I'm pretty excited about it :)
• I think I came up with a new idea for a weekly meme possibly mr. linky thing... I don't know I'm still working out the details, but I think it could be fun!
